The department has well-established workshop with the facilities of Machine shop, Carpentry, Welding, Black smithy, Foundry, Fitting and Sheet metal shops. It is manned by qualified staff, to impart practical, on work training, to the students starting from 1st year. The teaching and training of students is effectively carried out by highly qualified faculty and instructors. The specialization of the faculty includes design/computer aided design, production, industrial engineering and thermal engineering. The department has a library to cater the basic needs of the students and faculty members.
